Introduction:

We propose an immersive and educational experience for the participants of the Vitalia City Accelerator Sprint in July 2024. This event will include a guided tour of a Coral Restoration Center + a boat visit to a coral nursery (USD 52 per person) and a meal at a nearby beachside restaurant (at your own expense). This experience aims to provide insights into coral restoration efforts, highlight the importance of marine conservation and potential biotechnology research lines, and foster connections between participants and the local initiatives.

This is part of an AuraSci and MesoReefDAO collaboration to raise awareness for biotech and DeSci initiatives in Latin America.

We need to see how many of us will get involved the tour is for only 10 people, (but we could rent another boat and do more logistics if necessary depending on the interest of Vitalians) so RSVP asap!

Duration: 6 hrs

Objectives:

Inform participants about conservation programs in Roatan, including the importance of coral restoration by the Roatan Marine Park.

Provide a hands-on experience through a boat visit to an active coral nursery or potential nearby reef sites for snorkeling.

Facilitate networking and community building in a relaxed beachside setting.

4. Meal somewhere near West End (1:00 PM)

We need to be well-rested by the Start-Up Demo Day of July 30th so we will be back at Duna by early afternoon.

Transportation:

The transportation will be on your own, we could coordinate with Vitalians who have a car or arrange a shuttle with the Front Desk at Duna or rent cars.
